A pleasant enough church, but not a fan of the somewhat garish Bodley and Garner decoration (like Brandt Broughton church in Lincs.)
Came to see the modern Stained glass window inside the door which didn't disappoint. Other interesting windows, some looking worn with paint loss. Nice sedillia.
I found the brass to Emily and Willingham Franklin touching.
Good to find the church open.

That moment when you're driving along and suddenly your antennae twitch seeing a bit of church tower in just that sort of place 11th Century and earlier people built churches/places of worship. Bit of a 'patchwork' church now that's been through lots of rebuilding, but the tower still has some Norman arches. The oldest parts of the current building are said to be 11th Century.
